Baby Toes (age 3)

This dance class teaches basic movement through the use of the dancer's imagination. It encourages rhythm and body awareness while focusing on balance, arm & leg coordination, jumping, and counting skills.  Dancers will learn the basic ballet positions, along with performing a routine. 

Students signing up for this class should be at least 2 1/2 years of age. We can make exceptions by emailing Holly at holly.hollywoodstudios@gmail.com

Pink Ballet flats required, available at the studio for $25

Students meet once a week for a 30 minute class


Baby Tap (ages 4 - 5)

A dance performed wearing shoes fitted with metal taps, characterized by rhythmical tapping of the toes and heels. These dance classes teach basic movement through the use of the dancer's imagination. It encourages rhythm and body awareness while focusing on balance, arm & leg coordination, jumping, and counting skills.

Tap shoes required. We have a few sizes that we loan out for tap class.

Students meet once a week for a 45 minute class


Tiny Toes (age 4)

These dance classes teach basic movement through the use of the dancer's imagination. It encourages rhythm and body awareness while focusing on balance, arm & leg coordination, jumping, and counting skills.

Students meet once a week for a 30 minute class


Lyrical Ballet (ages 4-6)

A fusion of ballet and jazz dance techniques. These dance classes teach basic movement through the use of the dancer's imagination. It encourages rhythm and body awareness while focusing on balance, arm & leg coordination, jumping, and counting skills.  Dancers will learn the basic ballet positions, along with performing a routine.

Classes age 5 and up black jazz shoes required, available at the studio for $35

Lyrical (ages 5-17)

Lyrical dance is a dance style that blends elements of ballet and jazz dance. Lyrical dance is generally a little more fluid than ballet and also somewhat faster -- although not as rapidly executed as jazz dance.

Classes age 5 and up black jazz shoes required, available at the studio for $35

Students meet once a week for a 45 minute - 1 hour class


Jazz

 Jazz dance has roots in ballet, modern, acrobatics. Jazz is normally more up beat and tends to be more grounded with strong various movement with strong focus on clarity and precision.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop incorporates old and new dance moves and styles like break dancing, popping, crimping and even traditional jazz moves. A large part of hip hop dance is creativity and improvisation and just letting the music move you. 

Black tie up tennis shoes that are designated only for dance. No outside tennis shoes in the dance rooms please.

Students meet once a week for a 45 minute - 1 hour class


POM (ages 7-14)

Pom dance is an energetic and dynamic style of dance that places emphasis on precise and synchronized arm movements, formations, jumps, and skills. It is characterized by its use of poms, which dancers hold in their hands throughout the routine. 

Poms are provided. 

Students meet once a week for a 1 hour class


Competition Class

1-2 year dance experience is required to sign up for these classes.


Musical Theatre (ages 8-12)

Musical Theater dance is a theatrical dance style that includes dancing and acting. Students will learn basics of acting, character development while dancing, and using movement to tell a story. 

Black jazz shoes required, available at the studio for $35

Students meet once a week for a 1 hour class


ACRO

Acro class is a type of instruction that combines classical dance techniques with acrobatic elements, focusing on skills like flexibility, strength, and coordination. Students learn to perform tricks and movements such as flips and tricks often used in dance.

This class will not perform, but they will showcase their skills.

Students meet once a week for a 1 hour class


Tumbling

Beginner: Learning proper stretching and technique for back bends, forward rolls, handstands and cartwheels. If your athlete can complete these tasks without assistance, they may register for the intermediate class!

Intermediate: Learning proper stretching and technique for back walkovers, front walkovers, ariels and back handsprings. Being able to complete beginner skills without assistance, will be required to stay in the class!

This class is 2 days a week. This class does not perform.

Students meet twice a week for a 45 minute class
